Skywings opens new campus in the Deurne airport building
Skywings Flight Training continues to expand its campus with the opening of three modern classrooms and a dedicated break area located within the airport building at Antwerp Airport (Deurne). This expansion represents another important milestone in the continued growth and professionalisation of the Antwerp-based flight school.
The expansion is a direct result of the strong growth Skywings has experienced in recent years, particularly since the school also directly trains student pilots for Brussels Airlines. The increasing number of students and activities required additional infrastructure, now uniquely situated at the very heart of the airport.
The new classrooms provide a modern and comfortable learning environment and offer direct views of the apron and runway. This setting allows theory and practice to be closely connected, keeping student airline pilots continuously engaged with the operational reality of aviation.

In addition to daily theoretical training for its student airline pilots, Skywings will also organise monthly official pilot theory examinations in these new facilities on behalf of the aviation authorities. This further confirms the school’s role as a key training partner within the European aviation sector.
According to CEO Pieter Brantegem, this expansion highlights the strategic importance of the airport in pilot training:
“By taking the decision to locate our new classrooms within the airport building, we reaffirm the vital role that Antwerp Airport Deurne plays in training the next generation of Belgian airline pilots.”
With the opening of these new campus facilities, Skywings Flight Training continues to invest in quality training, modern infrastructure, and a strong presence at Antwerp Airport.
