Skywings flight operations move to Kortrijk during works in Antwerp
Antwerp airport will close for 6 weeks from September 15, 2022 to 30 October 30, 2022. To ensure operational continuity, all our flying operations will temporarily move to Kortrijk-Wevelgem Airport (EBKT).
The move involves setting up an operations centre, where students and instructors can prepare their flight and perform the briefings and debriefings. In anticipation to the move, the impact of this temporary change is also viewed from a safety standpoint, where all risks are being identified and mitigated. Maintenance will be provided by our trusted partner Gill Aviation, who have their main base of operation on Kortrijk Airport.
All other operations such as simulator sessions, classroom trainings, EASA ATPL exams and airline interview screenings remain at our main campus in Antwerp during the time of the works and will not be affected.
We foresee that the temporary closure of Antwerp Airport will not cause delays or operational disruptions for our flight operations.
