Become an airline pilot
Our philosophy
Skywings’ mission is to train pilots and prepare them for careers in civil aviation using the best learning materials, instructors, and infrastructure in an authentic airline environment from start to finish. Our team makes sure you’re airline-ready for your first day on the job as a professional pilot. This goes beyond simple theory and practice. Our #skywingsfamily values and nurtures a culture of safety, respect, and communication, as well as developing a growth mentality. It’s these values that will prepare you for a career in the cockpit.
What do we mean by airline-ready?
Your airline pilot training will teach you more than just the necessary skills, which really only make up about 50% of your future career as a pilot. A solid airline pilot needs to demonstrate a combination of knowledge, skills, and attitude, based on the 9 Pilot Core Qualities. We unlock your professional pilot DNA in order to ensure a smooth transition from Skywings Flight Training to your future airline.
Our instructors are all pilots for major airlines. We know the ins and outs, and which skills are essential. Our training is adapted specifically to the industry.
Do you have the pilot DNA?
A successful airline pilot needs to develop their “pilot DNA”: a combination of knowledge, skills, and attitude. That’s why we’ve established an intensive screening process to select the right candidates.

Paperless
Skywings is paperless. This is similar to the way airlines operate and allows us to fulfil our environmental mission at the same time: less paper = less pollution. On your first day, Skywings offers you an iPad, configured as a kind of “electronic flight bag” containing all your manuals, flight chart apps and weight distribution calculators. This again makes your future transition to an actual airline easier, as we adhere to the same type of structure.
