Flight Instructor: Freelance contract

Skywings Flight Training, one of the leading Airline Pilot Schools in Europe, is calling all flight instructor to join us in our story of growth. Skywings, with its main base at the airport of Antwerp in Belgium, and a winter base in Alicante, Spain, is looking for talented, unrestricted flight instructors who wish to train the next generation of Airline Pilots. We offer them the freedom of a freelance contract, and free instructor license upgrades. We are looking for airline pilots with a minimum experience in a multi-pilot cockpit and experience in flight instruction and general aviation.

What are my duties

  • Flight instruction on one of our Diamond aircraft
  • Simulator instruction on our Da40/42 simulator
  • Giving long briefings
  • Mentor and guide our student pilots in the pathway to becoming an airline pilot
You can be available for a minimum of 3 days per month on average.
During the Winter months, we operate in Spain for the VFR training. You will have the opportunity (not mandatory) to spend time in Spain for training. During this time, your accommodation and flight tickets are paid for.

What do we offer

  • Above-industry standard hourly pay
  • Possibility for a fixed monthly fee in return for a minimum number of available days
  • Free instructor license upgrades, revalidations, and refreshers

What should you bring

  • Minimum an EASA CPL license and EASA Medical Class 1
  • Flight Instructor License
  • Minimum 500 hours on multi-pilot aircraft
  • ELP 4 or higher (but with a fluent command of English in speaking and writing)
  • The right to live and work in the European Union (we do not provide working VISA for non-EU citizens)
  • EU Driver’s License
